Overview:

As part of a data analytics project, our group focused on analyzing and visualizing COVID-19 data for Malaysia. The project required us to download, collate, and analyze COVID-19 data from its first confirmed cases until 31 December 2022. We aimed to gain insights into the spread, impact, and trends of the pandemic using advanced data analytics techniques.

My Role:

I was responsible for the data preprocessing and visualization aspects of the project. My tasks involved cleaning and organizing the dataset to ensure accuracy, as well as generating informative plots that helped convey the key trends and patterns in Malaysia’s COVID-19 data.

Key Contributions:

• Data Preprocessing: Cleaned and prepared the dataset for analysis by handling missing values, standardizing formats, and ensuring the data was ready for exploration.
• Visualization: Created clear, insightful visualizations using R to showcase important metrics such as daily case counts, vaccination progress, and recovery rates. These visualizations helped provide a comprehensive view of how the pandemic evolved in Malaysia.
