Enhancing Mobile Interaction for Individuals with High-Functioning Autism

Overview:

Autism Journey is a project developed as part of a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) course. The objective was to analyse existing mobile applications designed for individuals with level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and design an improved system that addresses communication difficulties, task management, and social interaction challenges. The focus of this project was on enhancing usability and accessibility for high-functioning individuals on the autism spectrum, making everyday tasks and interactions more manageable.

My Role:

In this project, I focused on analysing current systems and identifying areas where usability could be improved, especially for users with high-functioning autism. Based on this analysis, I contributed to designing a more intuitive, user-friendly interface that follows HCI principles, ensuring the system was both functional and accessible to the target users.
